Surfactant-mediated growth revisited.
The x-ray structure analysis of the oxygen-surfactant-mediated growth of Ni on Cu(001) identifies up to 0.15 monolayers of oxygen in subsurface octahedral sites. This questions the validity of the general view that surfactant oxygen floats on top of the growing Ni film. Rather, the surfactant action is ascribed to an oxygen-enriched zone extending over the two topmost layers. Surface stress mea...
متن کاملSurfactant-modified MFI nanosheets: a high capacity anion-exchanger.
Surfactant-Modified MFI-Zeolite Nanosheets (SMZN) were used for the first time as anion-exchangers, in the case of nitrate ion removal. The SMZN material is characterized by high anionic exchange capacity and removal efficiency compared to classical SMZ prepared from clinoptilolite. The SMZN material is easily regenerated and could be probably employed to remove other anionic pollutants.
متن کاملOn the Influence of the Solvent Medium on Molecular Spectra: Chrysazin Radical Anion and Anthanthrene
For instance, analysis of the ESR spectra of semiquinone radical anions is frequently complicated by a strong influence of the solvent, occasionally leading to suggestions in the literature of divergent assignments of the hyperfine constants to distinct positions [1]. One example is chrysazin semiquinone [2]. In the present investigation [3], solvation of this radical anion was studied by Densi...

متن کاملEffect of Varying Dietary Cation-Anion Balance on Broilers Growth
The project was planed to study the effect of varying dietary cation-anoin balance on the growth performance of broilers. One hundred and twenty day-old (Hubbard) broiler chicks were purchased from a local hatchery and reared in a group for one week of age. At the start of second week, birds were randomly distributed in 12 pens (10 chicks per pen). Four isonitrogenous and isocaloric starter and...
